"Welcome to Harlem" PremiereWelcome to Harlem the Movie is a feature length musical comedy written, directed, drawn, filmed, designed, composed, etc. completely by artists currently living in Harlem, New York City. Following summer screenings, fall film festivals, and a world wide premier at the Apollo Theater in New York. Welcome to Harlem will be having it Maryland premier at the Hoff Theater in Stamp Student Union on February 25th, 2012. Inspired by their lives and by their community, the WTH team is on a mission to deliver an experience unlike any you have ever had before.
After the screening, stay for a Q/A session with the director, Mark Blackman, and his cast and crew, as they discuss their experience making the film and answer any questions you have. Tickets are $5 for students and $9 for the general public. Doors open at 6:30 with a red carpet ceremony. The screening will start at 7:00. After a brief intermission the Q/A session will begin roughly at 8:45 and run until 9:30.
